Silvia Rossi

In November 2013 the most powerful typhoon ever registered hit land on the coast of the Philippines, one of the many extreme weather events due to climate change.

This project was realised together with a group of street kids of one of the most devastated areas.

The first part of the project consisted in writing a play and building a portable stage out of the remains of their houses to perform the play all around the city.

The second step was to make a film were the kids were acting themselves in the process, which became the final work in itself.

The process was a spontaneous answer to the need of finding a space were the reality was somehow under the safe control of a plot.
